About Us Jennifer Mary Dodd was brought up in an idyllic farming environment in North Wales, surrounded by the countryside and animals that helped to develop her love of nature. She attended Howells School as a boarder, spending most of her time dreaming and doodling. Chester School of Art followed but, although she was a promising student with obvious talent, she became restless in spirit and yearned to explore. She ventured to South Africa, travelling extensively in Rhodesia. This inspiring her to paint the elephants, rhinos and other animals she encountered. Later, she painted extensively in Turkey, with surreal camels becoming a regular theme. She then covered the beauty of life in Greece and the Caribbean. In 1991 she had a horrific car accident and during recuperation she began painting mystical cows and pigs, highlighting BSE and the threat it posed to agriculture. She was awarded a certificate in a BBC art competition entitled "Power Destroying Peace", stirring up powerful emotions. "Jupiter's Aspirations" followed and was accepted at the Royal Academy. She has executed more than twenty shows from her gallery in Kinnerton, near Chester, preferring to meet her clients whenever possible. Jennifer loves to conjure up the atmosphere and vibrancy within the spirit of life's delicately woven web. Her work has a unique sense of fluency and exuberance, tinged with a touch of satire and magic. Viewers invariably find her paintings uplifting and find themselves instilled with a feeling of joie de vivre.
